Today was our second to last day, and I am so sad! It's been an amazing tier, and I really don't want it to be over! Today was also the day of our "Teach Us Something" presentations, which I was very excited about! Everybody's presentations were so intriguing, and they kept me interested the whole time! I love learning new things, no matter what it's about, so this activity really matched my passion! For example, I have always been interested in the Tudors of England, and when CJ presented on this topic, I learned things I never knew before! Since I did my presentation on the history of the viola, I decided to bring my viola to the presentation and play it. I was nervous about doing this in front of everyone, but I was proud of myself for taking a deep breath and having the courage to do it! Since I always seem to lack confidence in myself, I feel as though this was an opportunity of growth in that respect, so I am so glad I did it! After our presentations, we all traveled to Cleveland Park for field day, which was so fun! It may have been blistering hot, but that didn't stop us from making amazing memories! We played kickball, which unfortunately I wasn't very good at, but it was a great way to get to know the tier four members! It also allowed us to practice teamwork and communication, which is very important! I was originally nervous at the beginning of the game to try kicking the ball in front of everyone, but by the end I got up the courage to do so. I probably did the worst out of everyone who tried, but I was proud of myself for pushing through the nerves and just trying it! We also played relay games together, which were super fun and required teamwork/communication once again! My team even won the hoola hoop game! Overall, it was a fantastic day of getting closer to everyone with MedEx!
